Several houses were damaged in a bombing in Afghanistan’s Khost province on Thursday, with residents and Taliban soldiers inspecting the site and collecting debris, including pieces of shrapnel and broken glass.
Footage from the scene showed damaged houses, broken trees and shattered glass scattered across the ground. A Taliban soldier was also seen using a handheld bomb detector to search the rubble for any remaining explosives.
Pakistan said its air force struck 10 locations in Afghanistan on Thursday, which were being used to launch and store drones, some of which had been used against Pakistan a day earlier, the latest sign of escalation between the allies-turned-foes.
